LGSearch 2.0

After over three years, I thought it was about time I gave LGSearch a refresh. Most of this won’t matter to anyone at all, other than pages looking a bit different – hopefully it won’t cause any inconvenience!

I’ve moved the site, which originally was just a set of flat HTML pages, into WordPress, meaning I can manage the content a lot better than before. For the geeks, this was done by creating some custom page templates, into which I embedded the Google code. Easy enough to do.

This also means we can do some conversational stuff on the site, like leaving comments and things, which will be nice.

I had set up a Google Group to act as a mailing list for the site, but that fell victim to spam, and – worse – some sort of Google account cock-up which meant I lost all ability to manage the group. I’ll get something better set up, but in the meantime, use comments and the contact form to get in touch.

There are a couple of other things I’d like to do, which is to get the list of URLs that are indexed up to date, and then get them all listed on the site – they’ll be on this page – once it’s confirmed.

All updates and stuff will be here in the news section, appropriately enough. For the backstory, see my blog.
